Jawar Al Khaleej adds two to its growing fleet

Jawar Al Khaleej Shipping has introduced two vessels to support operations at Iraqi oil terminals. It has taken delivery of an azimuth stern drive (ASD) tug and fast crew supply (FCS) vessel from Damen for operations at the Al Basra and Khor Al Amaya oil terminals.

Damen delivered Jawar Faw, an ASD 3213 design tug with 85 tonnes of bollard pull. It also has a second ASD 3213, to be named Jawar Um Qasr, for delivery in the third quarter of this year. These tugs are products of the Damen Song Cam Shipyard in Vietnam.

Jawar Al Khaleej Shipping has also started operating Jawar Abu Dhabi an FCS with capacity for 80 passengers, a 240mē of deck space and a top speed of 25 knots. This vessel was built at Damen Shipyards Antalya.

The new acquisitions will also join two existing Damen tugs, 2015-built ASD Jawar Basra, and 2009-built stan tug Jawar Dubai.
