Maersk Supply Service has entered the Mexican offshore oil and gas market for the first time. It has gained a long-term contract for its newbuild subsea support vessel for work in one of the world’s growth markets.
One of its new Stingray vessels has been contracted to a Blue Marine Group subsidiary. The newbuild will be chartered to Subtec SA de CV from the third quarter of 2018. The contract is scheduled to last until June 2020.
Dalian COSCO is building a series of Stingray subsea vessels for Maersk. In June, Maersk announced that the delivery dates for these vessels were slightly postponed so that they would be ready to enter service from the end of the third quarter of this year to the second quarter of 2018.
